2025 Newsletter Term 3 Week 10
Letter from the Principal - Brad Toole
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have reached the end of Term 3 and I can confidently say that all the students (and staff) are ready for a well deserved two weeks of rest and relaxation. Week 10 is an ideal time to focus on the successes and the challenges that we have had during the last ten weeks.
Have a great holiday and we will see you all on Tuesday 14th October when school resumes. Students will return in their summer uniform. It is important that they have their hats to keep them safe from the sun, correct school shoes and appropriate haircuts.
Pupil Free Days
Advanced warning that our 3rd and 4th Pupil Free Days for the year will be held on:
Monday 13th October - Monday Term 4 Week 1 (Students return Tuesday 14th October)
Friday 7th November - Friday Term 4 Week 4
School Bazaar Fundraiser
It is with great excitement and anticipation that I write to you today about an event that holds a special place in the heart of our school community—the All Hallows Catholic School P&F Bazaar Fundraiser.
The Bazaar Fundraiser is a cherished tradition at All Hallows, and it is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our parent community. This event not only brings joy and fun to our school but also plays a vital role in supporting the various educational initiatives and activities that enrich the lives of our students.
As we prepare for this year's Bazaar, scheduled for Friday 31st October, I am reaching out to you, our parent community, to ask for your continued support. Your involvement can make a significant difference in the success of this fundraiser and, ultimately, in the opportunities we can provide to our students.
Here are a few ways you can contribute to the success of our Bazaar:
Volunteer: We need volunteers to help with various aspects of the event, such as planning, setting up, running stalls, and cleaning up afterward. Your time and effort are invaluable.
Donate: Whether it's items for stalls, baked goods for the bake sale, or your time to provide a service your contributions are greatly appreciated.
* Infants - donations for the Cake stall (donations can be delivered Friday 31st to the office)
* Primary - donations of wrapped lollies for the Trick or Treat stall (can be brought in any time from Week 1)
Spread the Word: Encourage friends and family to attend the Bazaar. The more people we can involve, the more successful the event will be.
Attend: Come to the Bazaar with your family and enjoy the afternoon with us. Your presence not only supports our cause but also fosters a sense of community within our school.
We understand that everyone's circumstances are different, and any contribution, big or small, is valued and appreciated. Your support is what makes All Hallows Catholic School such a special place for our children to learn and grow.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude in advance to all the parents who will step forward to support our Bazaar Fundraiser. Together, we can ensure that our school continues to thrive and provide the best possible education for our students.

R.E. Matters

The theme for 2025 is…
All Hallows - People of Hope
2025 is a Year of Jubilee!

As we come towards the end of our term with ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ as our focus, we would like to acknowledge and thank those who model this to the children and adults alike in our All Hallows community. The many who share the heart of All Hallows and offer hope to those in need. We are blessed at our school to have so many caring parents and grandparents who are always helping.
This is evident through their help with class groups, canteen, gardening, sports coaching, morning tea creating, parish church preparation, supporting each other, supporting staff, book covering, costume creating (a big effort this term) and many more volunteer tasks done in our school each week.
TO ALL OF YOU WE SAY…
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR ALL HALLOWS
SAVE THE DATE - SCHOOL FEAST DAY
Next term we will celebrate our school feast day - All Saints Day -on Friday 31st October.
On this day Yr 6 will be having their ‘SAINTS CAFÉ’. This café is held to thank all those who volunteer in and around Gulgong. Please spread the word to anyone you know who is a volunteer in any capacity. Invitations will be sent out at the beginning of next term and we don’t want to miss anyone.

Pink Up Gulgong
On Friday 17th October in Week 1 we will be having a Pink Day to raise money for the Pink Up Gulgong fundraising campaign.

SPORT
Gymnastics Term 4 - Week 1
We have fortunately received a Sporting Schools grant to conduct a Sporting Schools Gymnastics program for the first four days of next term. Each day every class will attend a 40 minute lesson with our coaches from Central West Gymnastics from Orange.
Uniform to be worn in Week 1 of Term 4:
Tuesday - Sports
Wednesday - Normal (Girls can pack Athletic clothes to change into for their gym lesson)
Thursday - Sports

Sun Safety
A reminder to all parents to ensure that their child has packed their hat in their bag every day. The ‘No Hat, Shade Play’ rule is enforced and children will not be allowed to play outside if they don’t have a hat on. Please help us to ensure that sun safety procedures are being followed at our school.

Healthy Lunch Boxes
A few friendly reminders:
- Every child needs a healthy lunchbox and some fruit for crunch n sip each day.
- Lunchboxes should not include lollies or drinks that are full of sugar.
- It is important that you pack enough food to get your child through the day. It is a long day for little kids.
- Please try to provide food that will keep them nourished for longer. Carbs and protein are good for this.
- We are a nut aware school. We have children that are anaphylactic to nuts so please do not send foods that contain nuts.
- If any families are having any trouble please let me know and we can assist you.

End of Year Presentation
After careful consideration we have made the decision to hold this year's awards ceremony during the school day instead of during the evening. The reason we have made the decision is we want to give all students the opportunity to be at the awards ceremony. We have noticed a trend over recent years of less students attending the night time presentation evening. We will evaluate after the Presentation afternoon this year.
Our Awards Assembly will be held on Thursday 11th December at 1pm at Memorial Hall.
